what is easier to get into… Duke or Penn ED…
I know the % rate is almost equal but I am wondering as to academic, ec, reccs and other qualfications that these two schools consider to make one easier than the other.
For example, personally, I am not an athlete and I am not sure if that can hurt me when it comes to the Division I, top athletics, Duke. I was wondering if one school has a lower range of SAT, gpas, etc… than the other school when it comes to EARLY DECISION.
thanks…

i think it depends on where you live. My cousin is from the south and she was rejected from duke rd but accepted into penn rd.

Im from NJ and I am also asian-indian. i think academically, ecs, standardized tests... I fit the quota of both schools. But I need to apply to one EARLY DECISION. So its really important that I gather some ED news about these two schools.

Thanks

any other inputs guys?

there pretty similar. Pick the school that you like more and could really see yourself going to for four years and apply to that one. Good luck!

Yea thanks a lot for your advice. Personally, I like CAS, but I am curious as to if it easier to get into than the others. That is, though Penn says their ED rate is 34%, is it actually higher for ONLY the college of arts and sciences (CAS)..??

sooo guys? other thoughts?

hello? advice......

Other ideas behind this rivalry?

Not being an athlete will definitely not hurt you at Duke. I think Duke and Penn are very similar admissions-wise; a couple of my friends were accepted to both Penn and Duke. I'd pick the one you like more- I don't think one will be easier than the other.

any other ideas guys?
