duke pratt vs duke trinity

which is harder to get into: pratt or trinity.

this question is for the general populace; not just duke students.

c'mon guys................bump

Trinity has a lower acceptance rate but also has many more applicants. The actual scores and profile of the Pratt class seem to be consistently stronger than that of the Trinty class however, so i believe that it is actually slightly harder to get into Pratt. I think the overall applicant pool is stronger for the engineering school.

Also, apply to the school you want to attend (Trinity vs Pratt) and not the one you think you could get into easier as I have heard that its VERY hard to switch from one to the other once at Duke. I think you have to basically go through a means of reapplying of some sort, though i could be a little off base. Nonetheless, it would be more trouble than is worth to go in with the intention of switching disciplines once you arrive.

And finally, as im sure you already know, both are EXTREMELY selective and make Duke one of the best 10 schools in the country. Almost nobody is a lock at either school. You need to have awesome stats, EC, recs, etc. to be considered! Hope this helps!

thanks..i have already gotten into duke pratt; this question was mainly for my brother who is applying to duke this coming year.
