Which school within Duke should I apply to for premed?

I think that it doesn't matter for premed. You should apply to pratt if you want to be an engineer, and to trinity if you want to do sciences or humanities. From either major you can take the premed requirements and apply to med school.

Which one would be easier in terms of workload/ extra classes?

trinity (depending on your major)

Most people should default to applying to Trinity. Pratt is for engineers.

Unless you are terrible at writing, I would say Pratt is harder.
Most pre-meds go to Trinity.
There are a couple of pre-meds who are part of Pratt. Most of my Pratt friends I know who were considering pre-med decided to switch off the pre-med track (e.g: Taking Orgo I and deciding not to take Orgo II).

couple of premeds in Pratt? Try about 1/3 of the BME department.

I'd say about half or more of the BME's start as premed. A lot do decide BME is more important or medicine is more important and either switch to trinity or drop the premed stuff.

Some of us are more stubborn and keep both. (like me) It is a significant number of people.
