Yay Duke!!!!!!

Good luck RDers!! Hope to see you at Duke next fall! :)

I’m sure any of the ED applicants would be more than willing to be a resource.

Woohooooooo! April is too far away…

So true …

Hey guys! I’m excited but very nervous for April! What do you all want to major in?

I’m applying to trinity for bio! duke is my favorite school and I have visited a lot because several relatives have gone there but I didn’t apply ED because I wanted to see if I could get merit scholarships anywhere. if I got the Robertson I would 100% go to duke. and even if not, there’s a strong chance id go anyway if I got in! hopefully it’ll work out :)

I applied for Stanford EA and was rejected, but I really love Duke and I realize now that it is a better fit for me. I just hope I get in! I want to major in economics btw…

I got deferred from Brown ED, but honestly, I have always loved Duke so either way I hope I get in! I’m a Chem major! :)

It sounds like Duke is everyone’s favorite (for good reason :)), but where else have you all applied?

I applied Duke, Brown, UPenn, Princeton, Cornell, Vandy, Wesleyan, Williams, Hopkins, Swarthmore, William and Mary, Kenyon, Fordham (Accepted), Tulane (Accepted), and Binghamton!

@BlueDevil2016 How about you?

Wow, you applied to a lot of schools! I applied to HYP for fun ;), Stanford (rejected), Duke, Penn, University of North Carolina, University of Texas (Accepted), Baylor (Accepted), and Southern Methodist University (Accepted).

@ Toujoursduke, congratulations! Did you have an interview?

@lexiam, I’m guessing you applied CAS at Penn? I’ve realized that I’m kind of screwed there because I applied to Wharton… Would you go to Duke over Penn or vice versa? Also, which campuses have you visited?

Does anyone know how important the interviews are for the Duke admission decision because I think mine went really well?

btw accepted at Georgetown, Notre Dame, and BC honors program but love Duke the most!

I haven’t been contacted for an interview yet, so I’m nervous about that… But I’ve heard that interviews are not weighted much, but become the determining factor if you are on “the edge.” Congratulations btw, those schools are really awesome!

I wasn’t contacted for my interview until mid November for ED. It went well and I got in, and I’d have to think it helped, if just a little. There should be a form you can fill out if you haven’t been contacted yet, google duke alumni interviews.

Thanks patriotsfan1. I checked their website and they said they would contact RD applicants in January and February for interviews.

@BlueDevil I would probably go Duke over Penn actually because I like the academics at Duke better, but I’ve visited everywhere except Duke, Vandy, Tulane, and Kenyon (I’m from the Northeast)

@lexieam, have you been contacted for an interview yet? I think I like Duke better than Penn as well, although I haven’t visited either (I’m from Texas), but I suppose Penn is more prestigious.

@BlueDevil2016 No, but I applied after the Dec. 10 deadline so I wasn’t expecting one! I’m probably going down for a visit soon though! I really want to get in there and if I get in I’d totally go!
