If they do come out on the 23rd, that is only 17 days away!

Looked at last year’s RD thread. Decisions went out on the 30th. So don’t hold your breath for the 23rd. 29th or 30th is our best bet.

Last year decisions came out on the 25th

Really? Woops! Guess the thread I read started a few days after they came out.

@drewski94, I am pretty sure that you were right about 29th/30th

If you adjust the forum posting history to one year, you can go back and see the threads from last March. The first posting of an acceptance was on March 30th, 2011.

Does your financial aid package come with the acceptance?

Hey guys! So, the Duke student portal said that we’ll all be notified by April 1st, but one of my friends told me she got her acceptance notification today. She didn’t apply early and get deferred, but was regular decision. (She also wasn’t an athlete or anything, so no coach recruitment…just a great violin player! ) So, guess they’re sending them out early! Good luck everyone!

Congrats to her! Are decisions sent via e-mail or snail mail?

She probably received a likely letter and not her official offer of admission. I think we still have a little while left to wait.

Just got a likely Letter…

Someone I know, international, received nitification today that he won a scholarship that will cover all his demonstrated need, and will give him an internship with 7k with it in the summer.

This is really bad…Duke usually takes one person per year form my country. This is so sad for me. And I was asking for a lot of aid.

^^ I JUST GOT ACCEPTED!!! RD applicant and international…

Congrats to those who have gotten in already! It seems that these acceptances are coming out earlier than expected, is there some regional correlation or can I expect a decision within the coming week?

I’d say those are likely letters though… After all, if they were in fact generic admission decisions, should not everyone be notified…?

And @eatyoualive, an admitted student from your country won’t affect your admissions decision. They don’t have a maximum number of acceptances per country. Just depends on how good your app was…

Awkward… I can’t access my applicant login… Any1 else with similar problem? or is this the norm?

Nothing in my portal…

This is so frustrating! I wish we could just know already. I was deferred ED, so it’s like going through that all over again, except now there are likely’s, which adds a new dimension to it all. When they released ED decisions they did release them like 15 minutes early though.

My portal is empty as well. By the way, my guidance counselor called Duke last week, and they were still in committee, so I really doubt they’ll be released any time soon. It’ll probably be two weeks.
