Nothing happened ED.

Wow that’s weird; I just logged into my account and was able to see everything I submitted, financial aid documents I submitted, etc…

I don’t know why you guys can’t log in.

I just logged into my account. It may help to try a different browser.

hmm i can log in.

I applied ED and was deferred. About 2 hours before decisions are released, they will completely shut down the portal website and leave a message saying something like “Decisions will be released at XX:XX EST, this page will automatically refresh.” When the decisions are posted, you will log in like usual and it will automatically take you to your decision. There will be no link that says “click here to view your decision” or anything like that, your decision will just come up right after logging in.

That’s how it worked for ED I’m not sure if it’ll be the same for RD.

sigh, Duke is my #1. There are certain schools I applied to that I have no chance at (Harvard), but I’d actually be devastated, with tears pouring, if I get rejected (and I probably will). People at my school are starting to get into really good colleges, and I haven’t gotten likelies or anything, so I feel like ****

BigGreen2016,

Same here. My best friend just got into Cornell. I’ve been deferred by Princeton and placed on a wait list by Washington University in St. Louis. Duke’s always been my dream school. Hopefully it works out.

^^^story of most of our lives. I was deferred at Duke ED.
Where else did everybody apply?

cfl927,

I applied to most of the Ivys, Northwestern, Georgetown, etc. You?

Umm just some more help about my portal. It automatically jumps to an employee address for some reason – that is its actually in the www. etc … employee … etc

Maybe you should email the school for help?

You need to have alternates. You may still get into Duke for Masters and it won’t matter whether you got into Duke for Bachelors if you do Masters there. Just be diligent wherever you go for undergrad.

Mandatory,

I didn’t have your original problem, but everytime I log on, the address bar automatically refreshes to https:/applicants.siss.duke.edu/psp/CSAAP01/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/h/?tab=DEFAULT

@EricDHCHoi,

I’m sorry. I hope that things will turn out for the best, and that we’ll both be at Duke next year. As you might be able to tell from my name, Dartmouth is also a top-pick for me. If I got into either, I’d feel redeemed, if you know what I mean?

I didn’t feel like making a new thread for this, so I’ll ask here.

I just received and invitation to a Latino recruitment weekend in mid-April, but as far as I know, I haven’t been accepted. Doesn’t anyone know if this means anything positive regarding my admissions decision?
Did anyone else also receive this email?

I got rejected from MIT yesterday. My friend got in and he’s gotten likelies from Yale, Dartmouth, Brown, and Columbia…

This does not bode well for me at Duke (he applied there too) considering my school rarely sends people to elite colleges :

congrats!

Rejection from MIT should be taken with a grain of salt. I was rejected and I got a likely from Duke.

Someone else on the MIT board was rejected, but got a likely to Yale.

Quesadilla, how did your friend get a likely at all those ivies, but not Duke? Strange.

quesadilla…
I’m sorry to hear that. Rejection’s tough, esp. when the those near you are getting into all these great schools. GL with Duke though. :)
