My DC is considering her options for for the 7th/8th Centers courses. Does anyone have feedback on the current offerings? TIA!
Hi @Jennifer26 I am a former tipster (aka I attended Duke TIP) and would love to give some feedback about course offerings. I myself did not go the first year I could have but went the last 3 years. I attended the Texas A&M and Rice University campuses and had the absolute time of my life. Duke TIP is a life changing experience and I’m so glad to hear your daughter is considering it. Though I attended Academy campuses I do happen to know a fair amount about the Center campuses from friends who attended them.
My cousin attended a writing course at Trinity and loved it but I have heard the most positive reviews about the Davidson campus. From what I hear the feeling of community and tradition at Davidson is really strong and having visited the campus as a prospective student I can vouch for the beauty and safety of it. All of the TIP instructors are great so any classes your daughter is interested in will be a great choice. If the course she chooses is in a subject she already has some interest in she will likely get a lot more out of it then if it’s a course that is something very new and confusing to her, but either way she will learn a lot and gain valuable experience and skills.
