Duke Transfer Chances?

Hi everyone! I am thinking about applying to Duke as a transfer for the fall of 2017. I applied last year but didn’t get in and was just wondering if I even have a shot this year. My stats are as follows:

Current Sophomore, Applying as a Junior
Current University: US News and World Report Top 25 College (USC)
Current GPA: 3.7 (3.92 this past semester)
SAT: 2290
High school GPA: 3.6

College EC’s:

  • Worked at a financial firm this past summer and working at a different environmental firm this spring
  • Founded an Entrepreneurship Club and student publication at my school
  • Professional Business Fraternity
  • Staff writer for the school newspaper
  • Founded a non-profit organization in high school that is still active
  • Part of the Consulting Club and Financial Group

My recs are from a science teacher and a history teacher, both I think will be pretty decent.

I don’t even know why people create chances threads anymore. No one can say for sure what your chances are. You do have good EC activities and your GPA is in the ballpark of accepted students but without knowing your intended major and course taken, it’s hard to say how the adcoms are judging your profile.
