Duke, UVA, or Darrtmouth? Please help

I'm a high school senior currently deciding between these three schools. MY career goals include working right after college in an investment bank/business oriented organization, and eventually going to a solid graduate school.
What I'm really concerned about is that UVA does have a business program where students have to apply after the second year(65% admission rate but in reality its harder as many individuals drop out of the intended major), whereas Duke and Dartmouth don't even have a business program(they offer economic programs.)
I'm worried that I will be handicapped when I go into the business world after college, if I do participate in the economic programs. I want to get a really solid undergraduate education, and am not too worried about the social scene, as all three colleges have generally the same style. Any comments?

You will not be handicapped. IBs recruit heavily from Duke and Dartmouth. (and all the other top schools--most of which don't offer business programs)

Really? I am under the impression that UVA students have anywhere from 3-15 interviews, whereas someof the top firms dont even bother to come to Duke. Arent they worried that economics students dont have the same core skills that business students do???

No they are not. They care very little about the knowledge you have. What they are more interested in knowing is whether you will be able to learn the ins and outs after they hire you. This is why science majors and even humanities majors are hired by banks. Most banks have their own training programs. Many also expect analysts to learn on the job.

Duke is hired by nearly every bank out there. Recruitment at Duke/Dartmouth is higher than at UVa.

UVA is an awesome place, as you already know, with an equally awesome business school...one of the best in the nation, which you also already know. and, assuming you're OOS, the prize is even better. but what about the personality of the school...and yours? have you visited all of them? there are big differences among the three, and that's a big part of doing well in college.

Duke and Dartmouth have stronger recruiters coming to their campuses. UVA doesn't place into the elite firms at nearly the same rate.

Ibanks care much more about institutional prestige than curriculum. Duke/ Dartmouth econ is going to do better than UVA business.

really, because i heard that many banks dont come to duke b/c of the fact that it doesnt have business. it is equally likely that duke gets a lot more students into banks b/c of prestige though

All three will be heavily recruited by these banks, but possibly Duke and Dartmouth even more. If it were me, I would go for Dartmouth if the price tags are similar, but that is just personal preference.

just to clear a few things up, UVa recruitment for the college may not be the same as Duke and Dartmouth, but McIntire's recruitment is just as good if not better than Duke or Dartmouths.

You can get any job out of UVa that you would get out of those other 2 schools, and I suspect a student in the 50th percentile at McIntire would fair much better in the job market than a student in the 50th percentile at Duke or Dartmouth who majors in econ. Although if you do come to UVa, stay in the college, don't get into the comm school, and major in econ, you'll likely fair worse than an econ major at Duke or Dartmouth.

UVa recruitment and placement is equal to Dartmouth and Duke. Obviously, the majority of students intered in a career in IBanking at UVA will try to get into McIntire. So attempting to separate UVa from McIntire is pointless.

I would choose UVA out of all those schools, all of the business programs/econ programs are going to be awesome at any of those three, so you have to choose based on fit.
