Duke v. LAC

Trying to decide between Duke and smaller LAC. Probably law school bound but not sure. Like Duke, but wondering if smaller but equally rigorous academic environment might be better undergrad experience for someone who is not yet sure of focus. What are best and worst things about undergrad life at Duke?

I attended Duke for law school (loved it). While this does not make me an expert on undergrad life, here are my thoughts:

Good re undergrad–most graduates of Duke undergrad are proud of their school and enjoyed the overall experience there; beautiful campus; everyone there is smart; lots of good options in science/math/liberal arts; well known nationally to both employers and grad schools; friendly environment; strong reputation (law schools look at this); Cameron Indoor; and of course the Duke gardens (a great place to meditate)

Negatives-- first year at East Campus; not very diverse; and some Ivy envy.

Depends on your own tastes: Social life centered around frats (“I am Charlotte Simmons”); a bubble; Durham.
