DUKE vs. DARTMOUTH?? May 1st is around the corner!

3-2go,
Good Riddance means " a welcome relief from something". I mean to say that you must feel relieved that a decision is made. Best Wishes.

Then I apologize. Learn something new every day! I've always heard good riddance used in a negative context.
Good luck and good riddance to you and your daughter also!

Welcome to Duke 3-2go.
Our son is incredibly happy at Duke socially, and has been greatly intellectually challenged and befriended by faculty in many departments. He also thought Dartmouth was a fantastic place.
Feel free to PM...although I think you will find that your Duke student will be warmly welcomed and get tons of advice and support. Recommend you look at the two pre-orientation programs..one service and one outback ...that is a great start for some freshmen..our son opted for FOCUS and he is still close to many students and faculty members from that experience. Going abroad brought our son close to another great group of teachers and students.. well...here's to your son's fulfillment and adventures at Duke.

^^^Faline2 was a great resource for this mom when when son started at Duke last year! We didn't have any "issues;" I just had questions. And Faline was very kind. :)

3-2go, that made me laugh!
