<p>I'm interested in pre-med and was planning on going to Duke, when all of a sudden I got a half-tuition scholarship to Emory...I really don't know which one to decide. I like the idea of the city with Emory, but I like the community environment of Duke. Does anyone have any advice?</p>

<p>Depends on your financial situation. How important is that half-tuition scholarship to you? In my opinion, the difference between Emory and Duke is vast, to I’d only choose Emory if that money meant a lot.</p>
<p>I’m at emory now as a freshman, applied to Duke ED in high school was deferred and ultimately rejected. I’m not in the process of trying to transfer! I have found that the city has nothing to offer you as a freshman because we are so limited in getting around. (No cars allowed for freshmen, something that you can have as a freshman at duke) I’m clearly biased since I have always known Duke is where I want to be but really think there is little to feel connected to here at Emory.</p>
