Duke vs Georgia Tech for Computer Science/Engineering

I got accepted into both of these schools, and Duke costs $37k a year while Georgia Tech costs $33k. I’m having a hard time deciding between the two. I got into Duke for Computer Science and Georgia Tech for Computer Engineering (but I’m trying to switch it to CS). Assuming I can, which of the two is better in terms of internship availability, name recognition among employers, quality of the education, etc?

I always tell people to pick the better university for undergrad. The departmental rankings simply don’t matter as much if you’re not a graduate student (IMO). I would definitely go to Duke.

Anecdotally, I knew several people at Duke who passed up Presidential Scholarships at GA Tech.

Go to Duke, as the cost difference is not too much. You will have a great undergrad experience.
I don’t think it’s easy to switch majors at GT, especially CS, so look into that before you decide.

I would suggest Duke based on your criteria. Have you visited both and, if so, where did you feel most comfortable? Both are great schools but Duke seems preferable at a similar price.
