I just checked my Duke decision and I found I was waitlisted. Very disappointing .

Does anyone have an idea of approximately how many people are waitlisted?

How likely is it that waitlisted students will get in, especially in this year with such intense competition?

me too. I have no idea though, sorry :(

i honestly CANNOT remember where i read this…(last nite was kind of a confusing blur), but i think i saw that about 1,000 people got waitlisted last nite, and they’ve let in as many as 200 off the list, and as few as one…maybe i read it on the “waitlisted FAQ” site they sent us the link for? bah so i guess i can’t help you guess what are chances are of getting in…i thought about calling today and asking, but i bet their admissions office is getting A LOT of phone calls today. good luck though!

D was waitlisted, no big deal as it is not her first choice. The FAQ page said that around 1,000 choose to remain on the waitlist, so that does not indicate overall numbers waitlisted. D will not be one of them.
