Hi,
I'm an international student and will be arriving at Dulles at around 3pm in August with my mother. What's the best way for me to get to Charlottesville? I don't want to pay too much but my mother also doesn't want to be lugging heavy luggage all over the place for health reasons. I was thinking that either a taxi or a limousine might answer the purpose, if it cost about 150 or so then for 2 people that's not too bad because if we took a bus and a taxi or the train and a taxi then we may end up paying close to 150 anyway, but I'm wondering:
1) If I hop into a taxi at the airport and ask him to take me to Cville- is the driver going to freak and refuse to go all the way to Cville? Do I need to book a cab online?
2) Would a limo be cheaper or a cab?
3) Can I get a limo at the airport or do I need to book online in advance?
Finally, if I get a limo service does that include a driver? Neither my ma nor I have US drivers licenses.

When are u arriving at Dulles? If it is Aug 20/21 then u can opt for UVA express but if it is any other day you can either go for cab or Amtrak train. The Difficulty with Amtrak is station is far from Dulles.

I am really not a resident of Charlottesville, I am also an International student like you who will arrive at Dulles and then have to travel to Charlottesville hence looking for someone to share a cab.
