Dumb question but...

Dumb question, but Is English 001A and Literature the same thing??

I got into CHASS Connect Program thing, and one of them fulfills my Literature requirement. So does that mean I don't have to enroll in English 001A??

Thanks~

i think they’re two different things

Ah, ic. Okay thanks-!

English and Literature are different. Everyone has to take the ENGL sequence. Literature is part of the required Humanities breadth requirements. You have to take at least two courses in Literature/Philosophy/Religious Studies.

English is like, composition and writing

I’m guessing literature is the study of classics and random book stuff like shakespeare or something

My Psychology advisor said that they may or may not offer Religious Studies…so I’m not sure if that’s going to be part of the 3 courses you can take.

if you got to islam its covered

If you didn’t get into the Islam CHASS Connect program, you can always take RLST012. That is ALWAYS offered; Religious Studies majors have to take it, and lots of people take it for breadth requirements. It’s like ANTH001 in that sense.

But according to the Schedule of Classes now, there isn’t any space left to enroll.
