<p>So I have to decide between two schools at the moment, both with May 1 dates for the enrollment deposit. Just to be sure, they have to be posmarked by the first, not recieved, correct?</p>

<p>I don't know the answer but I can guarantee you that the school admissions office knows. Why don't you call them?</p>
<p>Some schools put students into housing in the order that their deposits were received. So, as T26E4 says, check with the schools.</p>
<p>I just called all of my schools today with this question, and they all said postmarked by May 1. I would call anyway, just to be absolutely sure.</p>
