<p>MexStudent2013 I stayed at Andover for a little bit and we had communal a
showers(girls dorm). However we lived next to a boys dorm and they said they had communal showers too. Usually there is 1-2 per floor depending how many people are on your floor.</p>
<p>Do communal showers mean that …that… people get naked and take shower together?</p>

<p>No it means everyone shares a shower you don’t have to shower all at once. Like there’s only one shower and its only big enough for one person. The communal just means instead of everyone have their own bathroom you have to share</p>

<p>Though, how do people know if a stall is being used or not? I remember in my summer camp, the stalls were divided by curtains, so it was hard to tell if it was occupied or not.</p>

<p>@GoldenRatio My dorm at Andover had these clear misted doors. You couldn’t see anything but you could see the color of whoever was in there so you knew when it was occupied. No curtains in the dorm showers I believe. I think it’s all doors so you can tell.</p>
<p>you should be able to hear the water running and see a towel if a shower is occupied…</p>

<p>BHADES no. not unless you happen to open the shower door without a towel on, which I doubt anyone would do.</p>
