Dumbest Rankings Ever

Guys, please read the methodology before you go bonkers.

b@r!um, many students do not search for their preferred colleges and universities in that fashion. Many students look at the various rankings in existence to see which school is at the top of the lists. Afterward, they apply to those schools because the top schools engender more prestige and name recognition, which those students hope will bring life success for which they unrealistically hope to achieve.

No, here is the dumbest ranking ever ;):

1) Gibbs College
2) Chubb Institute of Technology
...........
1001-6) HYPS, Oxford, Cambridge

ehh these rankings use a different methodology as some other poster said. I dont think it's dumb.

^ shouldn't devry be first according to your methodology ;)

One thing is that this provides an international perspective. US news is fine if you plan to work in the state, in the area around where you graduate, but overseas different unis have a higher profile. This shows you how say, unis would be seen in china, or any other country. Case Western really wouldn't be known overseas, but UCLA, Michigan would. Although you may know quite rightly this wouldn't be the case in the states, but internationally people would know the larger research schools which would raise eyebrows, rather than know what say amherst is =P As great as say brown is I know in the states, it just doesn't have the same recognition or appeal for someone seeking employment overseas.

Aaahh I fogot Devry!

Colorado boulder is ranked over Brown lol.

Only as dumb as the people who fret over them.

what ?? those rankings are different from any rankings i've ever seen ..

U of M above Northwestern?? And look how far down Princeton and Cornell are. Hmm ..
