Durham vs. Nottingham (UK Schools)

For those familiar with UK Universities, I posit the following question(s) to you:

Recently, I was accepted to both aforementioned universities to read for law; 2 year Senior-Status at Nottingham and standard 3 year LLB at Durham.

Is there are difference in reputation between these two schools? I know they're both often considered to be in the tier right below Oxbridge (especially for law), but is either school taken to be more prestigious than the other?

I know both schools are (relatively) well represented in the Magic Circle, but does either confer any advantage in terms of employability?

What are these two schools comparable to in the US?

Thanks

Bumping thread

I thin they are pretty much on a par. I would personally choose Nottingham. Both schools are enough to get you into a magic circle firm.

I would definitely pick Durham - more prestigious in UK and better known in US. Are you planning to work in UK/Europe?

@ Alyanj. Since when was Durham better known in the US? It’s barely on the radar for most people, my guess is that a similar amount of people who know of Durham will know of Nottingham.
