I thought I'd do one of these, it might turn out a little interesting to find out what you people do during your free time. What do you people do during your free time (let's be honest, please, whether it's eating paper or playing with your nail clippers)?

Mine should be obvious - games, computer, eating,TV, movies, friends, exercising, sports, party...etc. Pretty much what I do everyday.

Especially exercising nowadays; I got really lazy over the summer but I'm kicking it up with 30 minutes a day minimum (it isn't a lot, but I also have PE at school which I slack off in but do a couple exercises sometimes so...). It's "health", but also in a way, to grow (It's an online forum so I'm freely admitting I'm reallyshort for my age, 15/soph and only 5'10...it's annoying but I comfort myself knowing my growth stage isn't over).

Once in a while it's something unusual, but generally these activities are what it is.

I really apologize, I didn’t mean it that way. It’s just that like a good70% of my friends are probably 6’0+ and I have 3 friends who are like 6’5 as sophomores, so comparatively I’m pretty short (honestly picture a 5’10 guy standing next to three 6’5’s), so eh…I heard the average american was like 5’11, so I guess I’m an inch there.

I guess it’s a matter of where you live, who you hang out with, your environment. The good thing for both of us, though, is that it’s not over.

…my little comment has turned this into a height thread. So back to the hobbies/leisure activities anyone?

Watch movies. I watch a few a week.

Go on the computer. Read about movies, games, sports, and fitness stuff.

Play basketball outside, just shootin’ some hoops.

If I have an interesting game, I play it.

Play tennis.

Lol, how did this turn into a “list your height and age and comment about how short you are!” tread?!

Anyway, I go out places, play the piano, get distracted by doomster, lol, computer, outside, etc. I can’t really list all of it because it just changes depending on my mood, lol.

Eh, whatever, my threads always go off-topic and if this wants to go into the dual height-leisure time thread, I’m fine…

I don’t know, I just have tall friends and my school people are generally taller. I’m aiming at around a 6’1~6’2 but eh…

You play piano? LOL

I know those, japanese cartoons (some people are obsessed at my school), and I’ve watched around 10 of those, thinking that they’re horrible but actually like 3~4 were worth watching. Something refreshing IMO, but since I’m not Japanese, I have no clue where to start, what to watch, etc…perhaps some tips?

Haha, well, compared to all of you I bestride the narrow world like a colossus, but it’s really quite odd because I don’t feel particularly tall when measured against a few of my peers – and one of my teachers is a solid 6 inches taller than I am, and a lot of my peers are 4 inches or so my superior, but I’ll prolly rival him (and them) eventually…

I hike a good bit, read books, stumbleupon things (as well as general other internet activity), chat with IV, and play the occasional video game in my spare time. Every so often I go out with friends and the like, but they’re usually less willing to socialize than I am, and I’m not much for mmo’s so we don’t interact as much as I might like.

Yeah, I agree with everyone else… 5’10" does not count as short, even for guys. I’m a 5’3" girl, and I don’t want everybody towering over me (which isn’t a problem, considering most guys in my school are <5’9").

But anyway, in my free time, I hang out with my friends (though this is to a much lesser extent this year because we’re all so busy :(), dance, write, and read. The books I reserved at the library aren’t available yet, so I won’t have anything to read for a while, but I technically don’t have free time right now anyway… :)
