I’ve been looking at decisions and I’ve noticed that specific majors have been hearing back but not necessarily DUS applicants. Do DUS students usually find out about a decision later relative to specific majors?
@wknight my daughter applied DUS and was accepted Nov. 15th. She applied early - Oct. 1st?
@lucyvanpelt I applied in mid September, if you don’t mind me asking what were her stats?
Keep in mind that it doesn’t matter for your application or chances if you see others who applied earlier getting decisions. Penn States decisions are random. Sort of by college, but not really. All majors will be getting acceptances and denials through the end of January. So just because you haven’t heard yet and others have, even within your same major, means literally nothing in regards to your application. The vast majority of students do not hear anything until after Christmas and usually most likely, mid to late January - regardless of stats. As you’ve likely seen, of those accepted so far who have posted, their GPA’s have ALL been over 4.0. Many, many more acceptances to come.
@jlhpsu thank you! I kind of know that in the back of my head but I’m just getting antsy! Thank you again!
