Looking at the Dartmouth and Columbia boards excites/scares me...although we won't be receiving our decisions simulatenously.

Letters will be mailed by the 14th, but does that mean once Nesbitt writes his note on each acceptance, they are mailed the same day. (As in if you were the first letter he saw and wrote on, it would be mailed the 11th or something?)

If they mail their decisions on the 14th, don't necessarily expect the to get them on the 15th. Last year for RD (when weather was not a factor) it took a full week for my D to get her acceptance. That was a really tough time - knowing that the letter was in the mail and not getting anything here. I remember many other stories, even some from within MA, where it took 4 days or more to get the letter.

i had 3 dartmouth applicants and 4 columbia applicants from my school and the results are not satisfactory. Only one of my friends got into Columbia and i'm very happy for him, but i feel sad for the ones who could not make it. we have 1 deferred from Dartmouth and one from Columbia. :( we are disappointed as a class and it is discouraging. maybe it's better to be pessimistic because as one of my teachers says pessimism is very close to realism. I agree with him. :(
