Today I received an e-mail from the admissions office. They told me that my essay really moved them. I think it is a form letter that goes out, my mom disagrees. Has anyone else gotten an e-mail like this. BTW, I still have not been accepted.

Some people have received them. It is IMHO not common and a very good sign for admissions. Good Luck!

everyone who reported receiving this type of email has been accepted so far

Giantsfan, my son received a similar email and was accepted a few days later. I agree that everyone on these boards that has been sent an email about their essay has been accepted. Good luck to you!

I got an email about my essay and was accepted a few day later, too.

I also received the email. It seemed a bit impersonal in my opinion, almost like a fill-in-the-blank kind of thing. I just laughed when I got that email. If they wanted it to seem personal, they should have worded it better and at least have the same font throughout the email. I’m waiting on my decision, it should be here in a day or two.

I didnt get an email I feel like Ill never hear from them.

I got an email too :). I thought it was pretty nice.

I got a similar email and was accepted 3 days later. Mine seemed very personal because it dealt with one specific thing I talked about in my essay.

Did NOT get essay email. Still accepted with Honors Program and full tution scholarship.

I got that email on Tuesday (last week). I called them today (11/22) and they said I’ve been accepted as well.

I was accepted a few days after I got that email too. goodluck!

I was accepted into the Honors College a few days after I received that e-mail as well. I am really excited and hoping to hear about scholarship money soon. Congrats to all and good luck.
