<p>I believe you get one in the fall. I actually have one now, as I took a course at the U. of C. over the summer. It is still in use, and that is the e-mail address I give everyone. It makes me sound smart, anyway. :)</p>

<p>I got my email before I was done with highschool (I had access to facebook I remember).</p>

<p>I got it before they opened the class of 2009 site though. Once you have confirmed your attendance, if you wait long enough you can probobly claim and id from cnet.uchicago.edu before they publically announce it</p>
