<p>You can only set it up after you have submitted your SIR. And then you have to wait till they load you CalNet ID to their system for a few days. Then you can set it up.</p>

<p>okay so i did everything for the CalMail thing or whatever and i made a passphrase using my pin and stuf. and then i tried authenticating and it says
"There is no entry for ******** in the CalNet Directory.</p>

<p>You must use your true CalNet ID (numeric student, employee or affiliate ID, or self-selected CalNet ID); other Kerberos principals for which you may know the passphrase are not valid here. Questions may be addressed to <a href="mailto:calnet-admin@berkeley.edu">calnet-admin@berkeley.edu</a>.</p>

<p>NOTE TO INCOMING STUDENTS: Initially your CalNet ID is restricted to applications related to enrollment at UC Berkeley. Any service that uses the CalNet Directory for authorization, i.e., goes to this page (<a href="https://net-auth.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/krbaws-uid%5B/url%5D"&gt;https://net-auth.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/krbaws-uid&lt;/a&gt;) for authentication, will not be available to you until your CalNet ID has been added to the Directory."</p>

<p>btw i looked at the "timetable for uploading" (of your CalNet ID into the full directory) and it says...</p>
