E-Mail Addresses?

Actually, both work. yourname@calmail.berkeley.edu and yourname@berkeley.edu. Once you sign up, you're also allowed one alias.

yay i finally got mine.. calmail.berkeley.edu and click on the "berkeley internet link" .. the first link on the page.. and then it's really easy from there.. :)

whats the whole alias business?

i registered myfirstname@berkeley.edu, and i can make an alias myfirstnamelastinitial@berkeley.edu ?

Yes, provided it's not taken.

It's asking for a Student ID number. Where do I find that?

Ah, never mind, it's just the CalID.

uh what was the point of posting that once you figured it out?

I edited it.

What about spring admits? Can we get our email address too after we send in our SIR? Or do we have to wait until later?

yeah id like to know about the spring admit thing too. the website says we dont get ours til wayyy later. what about fpf? wow another reason why i suck. yah go yahoo mail!

how come some people's addresses are just @berkeley.edu and some (like the one i got) are @calmail.berkeley.edu?

either one works. if you go to bearmail.berkeley.edu , it works with @berkeley.edu but if u go to calmail.berkeley.edu , it works with @calmail.berkeley.edu. you can change it in the directory to display either one.
