My son was fortunately accepted EA to Georgetown and is eager to attend the school. Yesterday, he received an e-mail from GU' s Carrer Education Center. This appears to be a career guidance service dedicated to helping students decide on majors and careers as well as help them find employment during summers and post-graduation. I know that most if not all schools have a service of this kind, but most are understaffed, underfunded, and seldom promoted to the students. GU's center, on the other hand, is proactively promoting itself to its candidates and students. It is a great asset, and it is good to see a school recognize its value and promote it. Georgetown is a class act.

Called Admissions and letters are going out now on acceptances and rejections.

International address applicants will receive an email any day and if nothing by April 1st then call Admissions for decision.

that seems incredibly early.

@bangkok, I heard that today was the day that they were making their FINAL decisions, not the day that letters were going out.

ARE YOU SURE?

…I just called and they said april 1

I hope bangkok is right, but idk with two people getting two different answers…

hey I’m an EA accepted applicant to Georgetown too and I was wondering when I will be notified of the financial aid decision. I am an international student and the financial aid will greatly determine whether I get to go to Gtown or not. I will be crushed if I can’t (sob sob).

My daughter is also an EA accepted applicant. According to the Georgetown website, financial aid decisions are to be released in early April. However, I recall reading a message here last December before the EA decisions were released that financial aid decisions were a little late last year.

did anyone else talk to admissions? we have two different stories: one saying we will hear this week, and the other saying April 1

Are you talking about freshman admission or transfer admission?

freshman admissions

the other person might be a ■■■■■. look at my posts vs his/hers. I called and they said “by april 1”

I think I’m going to believe Stupefy Just my 2cents

^haha thanks ;)

I did - Financial aid letters for both EA and RD are being mailed out this Friday 3/26/10.

Hey there luv2go2college.
I assume you have that information from the Office of Student Financial services right??
In any event, thanks.

which means admission letters are coming at the same time?

someone answer!

If the news about FA letters is right then rationally, decisions should be out by then.
