Hi I'm currently deciding between Duke's BME and CMU's BME programs. I've been admitted to both M.S. programs up till now and have narrowed it down to these last two programs. CMU offers a dual degree program that lets one gets an M.S. while also working towards an Engineering and Technology Innovation Management degree. The question is, is this degree respected/well-known in the field? More importantly, will it provide a crucial career boost? I'm wondering whether the degree will be looked at similar to an MBA in the sense that it shows one is prepared to lead. Duke's BME department is highly regarded while CMU's isn't as prestigious although the engineering school as a whole is considered excellent. If this E&TIM degree were beneficial, I would probably head to CMU as a result.
