Hi, I applied to VBS EA. I’m a female. My dad went there, graduated in 1992. My WGPA 3.7. no AP or Honors classes. 1510 on SAT. 4 year Varsity basketball. fingers crossed…
anyone? please
This might be a stretch for you but it might help since your dad went to VU. Your SAT score is good. Your GPA is a little on the low side but remember they look at the application holistically. What other extracurriculars have you done?
thanks for your response! I am a religious ed lead teacher this year for 1st graders. last year i was an assistant. I work as a referee on saturdays in the winter for youth town girls basketball. I do volunteer work but not many hours…
I am a Varsity captain this year. co-president of Italian club 2 years. I’m an FBLA member and participant…
You have some good extracurriculars. I would say this school is a target/sort of stretch school for you. My GPA was around the same as yours, I was captain of my varsity team, was part of some clubs in high school, and I did some volunteer work with Special Olympics. I was accepted but I know that there are some people who were part of more activities and had a higher GPA than me, and got rejected. Could go either way for you.
thanks again. did you have any legacy pull?
Also Im hoping my SAT 1510 will help. do they care more about GPA or both equally? thx!
I did not have any legacy pull. I’m not entirely sure if they care about one more than the other.
