EA Admission Decisions

I'm excited for you verbalizing, you started this whole thread!

Haha thanks

Pharmacy students- what kind of merit money were you offered? Son was offered 10k/yr.

Wow! some very impressive stats of accepted students. Even more impressive stats of deferred students in the admissions forum.

i got a scholership!

top 6%
1900 sat
3.7 gpa
capt tennis, 1st chair orch, vp of nhs..etccc blah blah

i nearly peed my pants!
its my first acceptance! i love you neu..and im really seriously considering it..now i have to check into the music dept

Got in, Dean's Scholarship, Mechanical Engineering. 44k total.

630 math
670 reading
660 writing

About 3.89 weighted (?)

world's.....................................................slowest.........................................................website!!!! argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

k.. accepted
his scores:
730cr, 720m, 630writing, 3.85 weighted, many other fine qualities, $12k

Where do they say "honors college" Apparently my kid was not invited. It is supposed to be the top 10% of the accepted pool. If he is not honors college that really speaks volumes about the quality of the pool.

yayy! accepted to the honor's college!
12k per year :]

stats:

720 CR
670 M
710 W

ACT: 31

GPA: 3.96

LOL TRANSISTOR!!!!!!

"i got a scholership!"

now how the hell did you get a scholarship?

refer to 5 replies up

RatedPG, what were your D's stats? I got accepted but I the decision letter won't get load. I have given up. I wonder what $$ I got.

Hey collegebound: GPA 3.97 uw/4.2 w class rank weighted 3/550 SAT 720 m, 690 cr, wr 680

accepted w/ 16k year scholarship + honors for the college of business administration for international business..

1990 SAT, 3.83 uw, 11 APs, plenty of ECs

Now I just have to make the case for northeastern w/ a 16k scholarship versus UFlorida tuition free because of bright futures.

haha woops haha you can tell that english is not my strong point in life.

Is the scholarship info inside the decision letter or is it in another file?

I can't open the decision letter and that's the only link I can click on (other than the myNEU link, w/c I haven't tried yet).

I'm happy for being accepted but it's a little insane that I'm not getting ANY money at all. I applied for the pharmacy program in Bouve and I had decent stats:

4.0/4.65 UW/W, ranked 1/450
770 CR
680 M
700 W
Team Capt. - Swimming
Job experience
decent ECs
some volunteer work

I can't open the decision letter either, something about not being able to decrypt. This is a little insane. NEU was my top choice school too but I certainly can't go if I don't get any aid. :(

i'm so excited...northeastern's one of my top choices!!!

accepted into pharmacy - honors program
3.6 w, 3.81 w GPA
31 ACT
16k/year

Recieved my admission decision letter now..

Accepted into Engineering - Honors program

3.8 uw GPA
30 ACT

Where is the scholarship information mentioned? Is it in the decision letter itself because nothing was mentioned about it on the letter itself.

mediocreme, don't worry, you will be in Honors program. Probably 16K for you. I have better stats and got 16K/yr...

After you enter your Admissions ID and D.O.B., you get to the Application Status Check page. There at the top they say "Congratulations!

We are pleased to offer you admission to Northeastern University. On behalf of the faculty and staff, I am excited to welcome you to our community. Your decision letter, which you may view below, includes information on creating your myNEU Account." blah blah blah

Then you can look for the "decision letter" link and if you have a scholarship, theres a link right under that link that says "scholarship award" I was surprised I thought I was maybe mid range at best for NEU, but they also accepted me with a 5k a year scholarship! Not very much, but hey, who am I to complain? haha

Ahh I see... I haven't receieved a scholarship then! doh! I thought i'd get something considering I had a 3.8 UW junior year gpa and a 30 ACT! Are these scholarship decisions final or would it help if I talked to them and let them know that getting some merit aid would definately tilt me more towards enrolling at NU ( NU is sooo expensive!!! )?
