Early Action results are announced on Dec. 15. Will results be mailed (are they supposed to arrive by Dec. 15?), emailed, or posted somewhere else online? What is everyone's past experience with Georgetown in this regard?

Judging from last years early action thread, admission results were mailed to the applicants and received by the 15th (if not the days preceding).

Like most of Georgetown’s admissions practices, the notifications are done the old fashioned way - by snail mail. Also, unless they have changed from last year, the acceptance letters are not much thicker than the deferral letters.

I just hope everyone realizes the odds against early action. It is much much tougher than “early decision” at other selective colleges. However, a number of people who get deferred each year do get admitted regular decision.
