EA admit scarves

That seems like a nice gesture. I have not received one yet. I usually receive items a little bit after others on this forum mention the receival of theirs.

I like the scarf. I have yet to get such a deep red colored one, so I very much like it. :smiley: Yay EA!

@Maxx

I starred out the names, and it’s a public group… and the posts were public… why the issue?

@kitkatkatie I starred out the names Are you sure? Perhaps you didn’t star out all of them. I will stay out of facebook. Not a big deal.

What did the scarves come in? A box - a big envelope? The mailman didn’t bring me one today :(

^^ kitkatkatie missed one (it was a “like”) but I don’t really see the problem here.

As I said, not a big deal. I am sorry I mentioned it without realizing that FB group was public.

A large envelope. I loved having mine when I was shoveling snow, by the way.

Just for the record, the city that the OP, whom I go to school with, lives in, got a record-breaking amount of snow today. However, we both did not wear our scarves in the epic snow ball fight that happened on the soccer field today, for fear of ruining the scarf.

Secondly, these scarves are amazinggggg.

Thricely (?), snow is also amazinggggg.

I received the scarf today. It’s quite comfortable.

Scarf is ok but the card is special.

I love scarves - they’re so fuzzy :)

Did anybody in Southern California get them yet? I’m still waiting on mine.

Love the scarf! Anyone know what material it’s made of? I was looking for a washing instructions tag, but I guess they think UChicago students are smart enough to figure it out themselves?

^^ Yes, since I’m going to be wearing it so much, that would be sweet information. XD

Still waiting for that scarf in the snow-bound Mid-Atlantic!

@Maxxwell- thanks, I wrote/designed the card! :)

Glad you guys like the scarves! We were trying to think of something that would be cute, useful, and unlike the other things you’re probably receiving from different colleges. So, wear away (even if you’re from somewhere warm!). All EA admits should be receiving them sometime soon, possibly mail-delayed because of heavy snow in some regions. I think but am not sure that international students may be receiving them as well.
The scarves themselves are acrylic, I believe, so keep that in mind if you want to wash them.

no fair! howzabout posting some pictures of these here cards and scarves somewhere?

@UChicagoPSAC Good work!

I am very excited about UChicago admission but unfortunately it doesn’t appear to be the place for kids from middle class families at places where the cost of living is high :(

I got mine in the DC region yesterday, so others should be coming soon.
