EA Admits--Any word on your Financial Aid?

Hi everyone-
Son was admitted EA and we are awaiting the FA letter prior to committing. Have any EA admits received anything yet? Don’t want to both the FA Office–but want to make sure we aren’t missing something. Thanks and good luck to all those awaiting admission status over the next few days.

No details on aid yet, although they did shoot an email to my son with a question a few days ago.

Thanks, NDgradNDdad! I definitely don’t want to bother the FA office (would rather have them working on the packages instead of answering my email!) --but wanted to see if anyone else had received anything. We simply can’t commit until we see what our final $$ looks like.

Hoping EA FA-packages are also going out alongside the RD decisions due this week. It is a long wait for those admitted Early Action.

Waiting a quarter of a year - plus now and still no word on FA = excruciating. ND is the only school applied to that doesn’t have an online account. That would be so helpful and so much quicker.

you should really call, if you haven’t gotten an email or letter at this point.

Thanks, appreciate that, but not alone on this and don’t want to bug them. There are so many REAs still waiting to hear. And I’ve received no email, so they have the information. I know several others in the same boat. Do not understand why they don’t have online accounts like so many (all?) other schools do. For example, there was a problem with the RD mailing, but if we had online accounts that wouldn’t have been an issue.

ritter19 we received our FA package in the mail yesterday, and we were also REA. So depending where you live it could be any day now. Our letter was dated Mar-24 but i don’t recall the post office ship date.

Wonderful! Thank you for letting me know. We have been wondering if iDoc has been the hold up. We posted all by the priority deadline, but iDoc was taking a very long time to process and make the docs a/v to schools.

It was worth the wait, as it was the most competitive FA package of the 5 schools our son was accepted. With the exception of a full-tuition package at an out of state University which is making it a tough decision.

Very good to hear! ND is the top choice, but like you, those full rides are a reality check.

Sorry I don’t mean to hijack this thread or anything but I have a quick question. I just noticed that when I applied to ND by Commonapp, there wasn’t a question asking about whether or not I was going to apply for financial aid. Yet, I still submitted all the docs by the deadline and everything. Is that how we were supposed to apply for aid? If not, I would be in quite the pickle… (I was accepted RD).

@Oneoutoffive‌, I’m pretty sure that’s everything you needed to do. FAFSA, CSS Profile and then iDoc uploads. Again this is why online accounts would be nice, where there is a checklist confirming what we need to send and that what we have sent has been received. We are still waiting, too.

@ritter19‌ You would have received an email if everything had not been sent.

Yes, thank you. I did see that. There have been several mail issues (delays) with RD and FA due to changes at the South Bend post office. If we had online accounts that would help with the delivery of this info.

We are in FL, regular decision, and still waiting for my son’s FA package.

If you call the FA office, the person who answers the phone should be able to look up your account and tell you what day it went in the mail. Hopefully it’s on the way to you.

Anyone else still not receive finacial aid letter yet?

Have you phoned the FA office?
