EA and Oct SAT scores not available until 11/2 (esp U Miami)

If SAT scores are released to students on 11/2, and my S chose 4 schools to send free score reports to and then he decided to do EA for 2 of those schools, should he have requested previous scores separately so they arrived before 11/1? Or will the scores from the Oct test arrive by 11/1 to schools? My main concern is University of Miami.

He checked off the box that said send ALL scores and we got the email confirming that, but he never thought about meeting the EA deadline. Now I’m freaking out that they won’t arrive to the schools by 11/1!

The only place to get a good answer is from the school itself. Send them an EMail if you’d like to know. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do now since that is tomorrow.

Its site provides that Miami accepts for EA any SAT or ACT tests taken in October before the application deadline, https://admissions.miami.edu/undergraduate/about/FAQs/application-process/index.html, but you may still want to contact Miami to confirm. You might also check your application file with Miamil to find out if the scores have already arrived at Miami. College Board, when you designate a college to receive all scores upon release in your test registration, very often sends those scores to colleges, via electronic delivery into the college’s file that it has with CB, two business days before the scores are released to the test-takers online.

Give the college(s) a heads up so that they can add that info. to the applicant’s file. They aren’t going to penalize for CB’s tardiness - esp. if they said Oct was fine for the Nov. deadline - but the courteous and mature thing to do would be to contact each college with the FYI.
