EA and SAT retakes

So I'm retaking my SAT I in November, hoping to raise it some from a 2180. I can't do October 'cause I'm taking SAT IIs with anotehr school in mind that month; can I do EA and have my November test scores looked at?

It's possible, if they get them in time for consideration

It's worth a shot

from the web site:

[quote]
Test scores - Have official SAT Reasoning or ACT scores sent to the University of Chicago. (Chicago's SAT code is 1832; the ACT code is 1152.) All testing must be completed prior to the application deadline.

They will only see OCT scores, not NOV. And whats worse for you... they don't look at SATIIs or the writing section.

But, if he/she is applying to other schools, you might as well send the November SATs to Chicago, you never know....I found the admission folk to be very lenient.

Yeah, see, I signed up for my SAT IIs originally thinking that I might do ED at Columbia, so I put those in October. Then I moved away from the thought of ED, and realized for Columbia (and now I'm looking at Dartmouth too) my SAT should probably be higher. That's why I'm sticking with November.

I guess I could do RD, I just wanna do EA everywhere I can for peace of mind

probably, the SAT scores needed by the deadline are the minimum requirement, but if you take them again with heigher scores, and sent them, I'm sure you're application will be improved for it

schmivy,
you will want your application to Chicago to be as strong as possible. If you can present better scores, and, more importantly, a better essay by applying RD, you may want to consider that.

If you are happy with your essays in time for EA, go ahead and apply. Your SAT I is not out of range, and good SAT II's will help your cause. As Libbly has mentioned, essays and transcript are most important - but other elements of the application are considered.
