anyone hear early action results yet?

Their admissions twitter said today they are still working on EA applications and won’t mail them out until the end of the month.

Hey Westie, I was just on Fordham thread and noticed your name because we have a westie too. And waiting on Marist. Looks like Marist sticking to their word- the 31st.

I just got my acceptance letter from Marist! I live a little bit upstate from NYC

Marist twitter says half were mailed on Friday, the other half will go out Monday.

YES!!! We heard today. ACCEPTED> Our son got in and with an offered academic Scholarship on top of the acceptance! Yeah… Marist! We are so excited. It was his top choice. It’s a very good day in our family!!!

We live on Long Island

My son received his EA acceptance letter today.

still no acceptance and im in staten island :(

don’t feel bad KBlitz, I live in Long Island and still haven’t found out.

I haven’t received any acceptance letter yet and i live in queens , I’m nervously waiting. I hope it comes tomorrow!

Daughter received today. Deferred to regular decision and needs to send current grades. Anyone have any views on whether they really do look at with a fresh view based on new grades? I would like to think so because they could easily say “rejected”, though the skeptic in me says that they might want to hold on to some of the ones that they would reject depending on acceptance rates.

@Bill124 - What are your daughter’s stats? Just curious to see what types of students they are deferring.

I got deferred today also and I’m really upset. I have a 4.0 gpa weighted, a 1700 on my sats and a 25 on my acts. Do i have any chance at all?

So sorry cheergrl, we know how that feels at our house too! If you are deferred you absolutely still have a chance, otherwise you would have been rejected. There is something about you and your application they liked. Honestly I think it is your scores that are hurting you at this point. My suggestion to you is to let them know of your continued interest. If Marist is your number one school you might even tell them that you would attend if admitted. Sometimes that helps a lot.

I also got deferred and I’m so upset. I hope I’m still considered but it’s just very discouraging.

Was deferred, but rescinding as I will be attending Penn State. kind of shocked but not a big deal.

Sounds like a lot of kids were deferred today. My daughter hasn’t even received her letter yet… I’m not expecting good news after reading these posts. :(

I got deferred; I’m really upset as Marist is my first choice and has been for a long time now. Hopefully they’ll ultimately accept me.

Deferred here too which was shocking with 1850 SAT and very good gpa, loads of EC. Got into every other school applied to with scholarship offers to two so makes no sense. Not that upset as there are many other choices but still very surprised nonetheless. I see people here that got scholarships to Marist with same SAT so almost seems like a mistake.
