EA Applicants class of 2015

Rough EA stats so far: 16 accepted, 14 deferred, 1 WL

I haven’t gotten my e-mail yet…

I haven’t gotten mine yet either… I sent an email to the admission’s office. They replyied and said that they would try to resend it but if not the letter is in the mail and I’ll get it in a couple of days.

I’m glad that I’m not the only one that is still waiting though

accepted with 20k a year
2360 SAT, 34 ACT
7 5’s on AP
3.92 UW, 5.05 W

4 yr football, 4 yr baseball, senior class president, NHS, NM semifinalist, bunch of community service, all state baseball team

for anyone still waiting, i talked to admissions and apparently their having a problem with comcast and aol email accounts. Comcast and Aol are blocking the emails before they even get to the spam folders. They’re trying to fix it but if they can’t, i guess we’ll have to wait for the letter.

Accepted!

NY
90.1
SAT- 1980

anyone else find it ridiculous that the top scholarship (from what im seeing) is $20000 a yr, leaving 129000 over four years for us to come up with? Or is everyone else excited by the idea of taking out a loan the size of home mortgage?

its crazy. I loved case but no way am I going if I dont get more than 20k. Maybe they give out more in the actual acceptance letter packet thingy or later in the year??? or maybe im just out of luck. I really thought I could at least get 30k a year.

My understanding is that the scholarships offered thus far are merit-based only. You will be getting financial aid offers once you fill out the required paperwork and turn in your parents’ Income Tax statements for 2010.

2000 SAT
650 math
660 physics

6 ap’s all 4s

great EC
strong essay

12K

The 20K is merit based scholarship. The need based financial aid will come later when you file your FAFSA and other required documents. That said, no, I don’t find it ridiculous at all. It is Case’s generosity to award any scholarship, merit or otherwise. It’ll come down to what we can afford. That’s why state schools are here for.

yeah, i thought that i would get close to full tuition from cwru. But i guess 20,000 is all they offer.

yes, i understand finaid is still to come. And i understand your comment about generosity, but even great schools like Duke give out bigger scholarships. And, if you get financial aid, the scholarship will actually decrease your need by the 20000 dollars. It can eliminate some of the self help portion, though

Case is well know for generous merit aid. The most selective schools give no merit aid at all. All schools use enrollment management to come up with a methodology to attract a talented class with an alloted amount of money.

Frankly I’m surprised. Case is certainly cutting back a bit as last year DS got 27500/yr.

I was accepted with a 29 ACT and a 3.98 weighted GPA. I have many EC’s and I will have taken 11 AP’s by the time I graduate.

Can someone who received money from them post their email? I don’t think my email mentioned anything… But I may have over looked it from excitement.

Thanks

also, can people who got money, post stats.

i got 20,000 per year with a 35 on my ACT, a 2210 on my SAT, and a 4.0 (4.72 Weighted) GPA
