Hi!!

I know everyone’s freaking out right now about the tab thing, but I’m just curious if anyone actually heard back, yet? No letters or e-mails from admission offices, right? I don’t think we should trust the portal for right now…

I’m so nervous because I feel like the time is going by soo SLOWLY this week because December 15th is nearing.

Also, when people do hear back starting next week, feel free to post news in this thread!! And, it would be helpful to mention what state you live in, the first letter of your name, major, and brief stats? Thanks a ton, and good luck everybody!! Feel free to PM me, if you like!!

Thank you for starting this thread, lucky; I look forward to hearing from everyone when they get their letters, too! Good luck to all CCers!

We definitely won’t hear word before the 15th. From what I’ve been able to find, letters arrive to most people on the 18th or 19th. I’m still checking the mail the minute I get home every day, just in case though! I’m SO anxious!

Driving me insane. INSANE. The admissions office must hate me from the few emails I’ve sent…so paranoid.

Hey guys! EA applicant too! I just logged on to the Agora portal and a new “box” was there named “common services” (with “directory search” in the box thing) which wasn’t there until today. Do you also have this new update?

FromCal ~ we all have this new update.

^^
agree with tribegirl09, we all have it, lol. one more week to go!! good luck, and i’m crossing my fingers for all of us!!

General BC notification guidelines from a current student I know:

2009 notifications arrived around the 18th of December.

BC sends out letters in waves based on region over the course of two or three days. First go AK, HI, radiating closer. Closest letters are sent out last.

If the person down the street from you gets their letter first, and they’re accepted, DO NOT ASSUME YOU WERE DENIED! This is NOT true, as letters may arrive at your house just a day or two later.

DO NOT CALL BC BEFORE THE DEADLINE TO ASK IF YOU WERE ACCEPTED. They have enough phone calls already.

Decisions are NOT posted on Agora. However, certain things DO change before you receive your letter, such as the tabs you may have.

This accepted student had an SAT of 1900, 4.0 GPA (97.3). BC more heavily relies on character than test scores in acceptance, but usually open minded, mature applicants tend to have the higher SAT scores.

GOOD LUCK!

^^
thanks maserrano!!
lots of helpful info!! that means cali letters are sent out pretty early, right?? what state did this previous student live in?

They lived in NY, same school I’m attending. The system is setup so that most letters arrive on the same date.

If you are unable to access Agora for a time before receiving your letter, it doesn’t mean you were denied. In fact, it may mean the opposite :-).

yeah, seems just a minor update :)

pretty anxious now!

Yesterday, I sent in a summary of new additions I had previously called BC about. Some are major additions, such as explaining my role as project manager in a $17,500 charity project. I’m hoping that BC takes these into account…

Letters going out Wednesday. Good luck to everyone, I hope to see you all in 2011.

Oooh I can’t wait!

letters on wednesday for sure!? also, is emailing a representative a lot annoying? they are very professional and good questions and I met the lady at my school and all of her responses are nice and informative but I also have “just a few more questions”… is this bad?

AND reading all of these “im so anxious” posts is really starting to make me want to hear back now! stop it everyone please :)

^^
I’m getting so nervous!! Good luck everybody!!

fratboy11, i just read your comment…sorry for saying my previous comment, lol. good luck to you too!
