EA application anyone?

D submitted yesterday. I think (hope) she has a decent chance at admission and some $. We'll need them. 1/141,35 ACT, Honor Society Pres., Basketball Captain and 4 year starter, Marching Band Section Leader, UIL State Qualifier Tuba, UIL Regional 6th Math. She is an intended bio/neuro major with a Spanish double or minor.

Case with its connections to med opportunities is very exciting, but the urban location and the fact that it is larger than most of D's schools mean a substantial post admission visit will be in order. I appreciate all the Cleveland and campus atmosphere posts. It helped her decide to apply. Thanks. Now the waiting. LOL.

DS application went in yesterday, also apps to two rolling admissions schools. Onward to the rest of the apps. Good luck to all of us. Case seems like a terrific school, merit money will make the difference.

I'm applying EA as well, though I'm nowhere as strong as Cermudgeon's D. Top 2%, 33 ACT, decent leadership, community service, some statewide recognitionin Japanese, "challenging background" . Case is my reach; I'd probably go if I got enough money to afford it.

WP, you bring something very different to the table than my D does. Top 2% ain't shabby and your school could be thought of highly. Her's won't be. 33 ACT is very strong for anywhere. After about 32 I don't know how much anyone counts that stuff. And Japanese? Yep, that is a separator. You'll be fine.

curmudgeon,
Good luck to your daughter! My son applied RD with similar stats and ec's, and he got an offer of $19,400/year! Of course, that still means you have to come up with a good chunk of change, but the scholarship brings it into line with state school costs.

lkf725, that is great news!

D heard today that her file had not been mis-placed. It was all logged in on the 7th, just nobody changed the code to "complete" from
"inquiry".

Curmudgeon,
Just wanted to apologize for spelling your name wrong above. Mea culpa. Thanks for the kind words, though.
