Yeah, congrats quillgirl! I, sadly, haven’t heard anything :/

hmmm i clicked around on bannerweb application status and found “cost of attendance” listed. at 46+K, as a “new student” i hadnt ever clicked on there before so have no idea if that is new or has been there all along.

My friend said she just looked at the financial aid cost of attendance tab also and it says the same thing 46+k, so that may indicate acceptance!!! Anyone else??

wish i had clicked on it before LOL, it was the new student comment also that had me wondering

Mine says that too!

We have not heard yet and warriorboy did not want to call. We’ll see what happens on Tuesday…

I also checked bannerweb and have the same comment. I don’t know if it was there before or not!!! It’ll be interesting to see.

I checked the tab and, no, it was not there before. (Ours says the same thing and we know the outcome already…) Congrats everyone! Maybe DS will see you there next Fall!

Waiting to find out about schollys between his final 2 choices.

Accepted =)

Same here!!! Quillgirl was right.

Same! Accepted. Congrats!

So when do we hear about merit money or did my D just not get any?

another yes here!!! i was surprised to see the number of students that applied ea (2200 according to the letter!) queen’s mom the enclosed letter said students should be notified of scholarships within 2 weeks.

Thanks. I did not get to read the letter and D said nothing…

DD very happy to be admitted!

I wonder how many people got in EA.

Random side note - the letter kind of freaked me out! It was SO small. Thought it was a reject until I saw the Congrats [Kiterunner!] on the front. :)

Accepted! :)

Queen’s Mom … my DD got her acceptance letter yesterday too and anxiously awaits scholarship information. However, we both were surprised last night when she heard from one of her friends at another school in town that he was already notified that he got the Cambridge … apparently it came with his acceptance letter. That has me a bit worried and wondering today since we will not be eligible for need based assistance.

Congrats to all of the accepted students! Son seriously thought about Rhodes last year, and I am watching this forum as a good friend’s daughter is applying this year. Just a cautionary note about Rhodes’ financial aid office–last year they seemed very random. Rhodes is becoming a popular place for kids here, and I don’t think the FA people understand how much the kids talk to each other and compare notes. Some kids were offered scholarships with acceptances, some were not offered any at all. One parent succeeded in getting more scholarship $ for his kid even after May 1 while another parent was told “We have made our scholarship decisions and won’t reconsider.” I hope the FA office has its ducks in a better row this year.

^^D was not hoping for one of the bigger scholarships, but if Rhodes offers nothing at all, she will probably not be going. We will get no financial aid and a close to $50K price tag is extremely hard to swallow when D has other, perfectly acceptable options.

We know no one IRL who applied to Rhodes (not a very popular school here) so we have no one to compare with other than on CC.

I also think scholarships may be negotiable at most schools if they want the kid badly enough.
