Does anyone know if Georgetown accepts all their recruited athletes during EA? Just wondering if that is a bigger part of the acceptance rate EA versus RD.

Recruited athletes are explicitly told NOT to apply EA.

not true. the coach recruiting me suggested EA, and if I don’t get in, it just means deferral to the regular round anyway.

dzleprechaun - why would recruited athletes be told not to apply EA?

im a recruited athlete for tennis and they suggest u dont apply EA is your not gonna have a good chance on your own to get in…the coaches have less pull during EA. for me, i applied EA cuz i will most likely get in on my own, but if u need a coaches help they will recommend RD

do coaches have ANY pull during EA? I know that they can use their “spots” during the regular round, but if you are on the bubble for EA admission can being an athlete push you over the edge?

Tennisboy has gotten at some of the answer, as has bigglesworth. I am hesitant to say more, because it can vary case-by-case, but as a general rule, it is recommended that recruited athletes not apply EA.
