My son (EA to Tulane) completed the Tulane Alumni Interview Program Registration form that appeared in his Green Wave Portal. He quickly received an email thanking him for registering and explaining that he would receive an email with the name of his alumni interviewer. That was a week ago. I was wondering how long most folks waited to get an interviewer assigned? If it matters, we live in a very big metro area with (I assume) lots of alumni. Thanks in advance.
My D got her registration confirmation email on 11/2 and there was a new message on her portal about 10 days later (and subsequent email) providing her with the name and contact info of her interviewer. Four days later, she had her in person interview at a local coffee shop.
Thanks. I’m glad you told me that the message appeared in the portal. I was expecting an email to my son’s gmail account. I will tell him to keep checking the portal!
Thanks for posting this question as we are in the same situation.
I should have waited one more day! My son checked his portal and was matched with an alum today. Exactly one week after completing the form.
Keep it in perspective, an alumni interview really has no impact upon gaining admission and is more of an opportunity for students to ask questions and make a connection. It also keeps alumni involved, engaged and more likely to donate.
