<p>I am a senior and will apply early to Yale. I am sooo close to finishing the application.</p>

<p>African American Female
GPA: 3.82 uw, 4.14 w
SAT: 740 m, 700 w, 650 cr (2090)
retook last weekend . 740+ writing, 720-680 m (depends on the curve),
and 600+ cr (praying for lenient curve)
SAT II: 610 chemistry (took honors chemistry at that time), 680 Math IIC, 630 US History, will retake them this Nov.
AP: US History (4), Psych (4), Bio (5)
RANK: 3rd decile, very very competitive school
Senior courses: AP chemisty, AP Euro History, AP literature, AP Calc AB, Art II </p>

<p>They're using the math and writing scores, the way that your SAT would have been scored last year. Actually, it's a 1440. I really hope that you get in! You seem to have a good shot, and if you love it enough, then I sincerely believe that you'll get in! Good luck!</p>

<p>actually she has a 1390 and a 700 writing. This is still an okay score, and your grades and minority status will probably make up for you being at the low end of the sat range. Yale says they will consider the writing this year. Good luck! :)</p>
