<p>I have not taken the ACTs yet.</p>

<p>I live close to Chicago, so this Summer I'm going in for an on-campus interview. I hope that'll increase my chances. Also, I've got recommendations lined up from two English teachers who know me very well and my guidance counselor who understands how adament I am about making it to U of Chicago. I'm planning on double majoring in Economics and Poli Sci.</p>

<p>The only grades that are worrying me are a C+ I got in Biology (one sem. class) sophomore year and a B- I got in Speech (stupid required one sem. course) Freshman year.</p>

<p>I'm looking at a 4.0 this semester of junior year.</p>

<p>Chances and recommendations?</p>

<p>You have a good shot, but try to distinguish yourself in something, show a passion, and write essays that show you have a personality. Get 2200+ on the SAT (or the equivalent for the ACT).</p>

<p>Oh I forgot I'm in Key Club also. I'm worried I may not be able to score that high on the ACT, not really planning on SAT but it's a possibility.</p>

<p>i wouldnt bank too highly... if you got b+s and a 2 on the exam theres probably grade inflation at your school, and that your in the 22nd percentile isnt that good... i wouldnt bank on either NU or Uchicago</p>

<p>I'm not banking, but I'm hoping that if I score high on the ACTs and continue to increase my gpa, I'll have a feasible chance.</p>
