<p>Essay: Good, I liked my ND specific ones. </p>

<p>Do you think my ACT, extracurriculars and church involvement can make up for my slightly lower grades, which are still mainly A's with only a few B+s/A-s?
I know this is long but I am shaking with nerves waiting for this letter!

<p>Your application looks very strong. The thing about grades from High schools is that they are a bit subjective. One English teacher grades more harshly than another on essays. One schools curriculum can be much more difficult than another. Hence the standardized tests. That is another measure in how a student is doing that is the same for everybody. Of course, some students don’t do well on those tests for various reasons. But you did do well. I’m sure that will help you. I hope you will post your results later, but I suspect it will be good news.</p>

<p>I am a current freshman here and I think that you have a decent shot of getting in, I’d say 85/15. I do however, think that your application emulates much of the applicants to Notre Dame, especially Mendoza prospies so your essay will have to be your strongest push for admission into the class, but it looks like your mix of business, service, and extracurriculars will be great.
