Hey Guys,
I just got back from a college to South Bend this past week and I fell head over heels in love with Notre Dame. I will probably apply early action in the fall and I was just wondering if you'd mind taking a look at my stats...

Academics:

GPA: 4.0 (unweighted), 4.7 (weighted)
Class Rank: 3/170
SATI: 2230 - M 710, CR 720, W 800
ACT: 34

Major: Program of Liberal Studies, maybe Philosophy

ECs:
President of Speech and Debate Team (2 yrs - Varsity Letter)
President of FBLA Club
Eagle Scout (I was also Senior Patrol Leader for a year)
Mock Trial Team (placed 3rd and 4th in state competition - Varsity Letter)
Concert Choir (Student Board Member and Varsity Letter)
Several Musicals and Theatre Productions
JV Bowling Team
Varsity Trap Shooting Team
Member of Minsitry Council and Student Council

Awards:
Placed 4th and 5th (Freshman and Junior years) in the state on the National Spanish Exam
Outstanding Theology Student (10th Grade)

Other:
Recommendations should be solid and my essay will hopefully be able to capture the amount of ardor with which I love Notre Dame.

By the way, I was also wondering if you think I 'd be qualified to be a ND Scholar?

Thanks

Sorry, I forgot just a couple things.

-I'm from Omaha, NE
-I've taken the most rigorous courses my school offers
-I've done 250+ hours of community service
-I've been in NHS for 2 years

Thanks Again

You look like a pretty good candidate, but you should know that the ND Scholar designation means essentially nothing.

Thanks for your comments dorian.

You get letters for academic stuff? Thats pretty cool.

For the essay, you don't just want to show your love for ND. How can you contribute to the ND community? And how will ND help you create a better world in general?

Cool, thanks for the tips guys.

I agree, I think your stats look good. Sorry for the late response, I was out of town! Keep up the good work and good luck!
