Production majors absolutely get merit awards! It’s not just the first few admits you see trumpeted here on CC. Hang on, rockrprincess, and good luck.

My D was accepted with Dean’s scholarship, $15,000 into Dodge, TBJ. We look forward to visiting soon!

Best Wishes to everyone here on their admission to Chapman and for those looking at other colleges, very best of luck.

Congrats to all who got acceptance letters! What a perfect holiday gift!

And yes to production majors getting scholarships. My D got the Chancellor’s scholarship last year. She didn’t get her acceptance letter until early February, though.

I used various art projects I had done in my intermediate art class portfolio(water color painting, pastels), different writing samples I did in English, and some photography as “freelance.”

I honestly had nothing to put. I can’t compete when I don’t have anything available to me. Of course film and writing interests me but there’s nothing around where I’m from and my family doesn’t have the money for me to pursue it on my own. I’m going into PR though which is not usually in film schools… We’ll see what happens

Also if I was rolled to regular am I still in the running for merit aid?

omigosh… accepted today. Living in China, U.S citizen. Freaking love this school
STATS: GPA: my school doesn’t do it (full IB DP)
SAT: 1710 (superscore) YAYYY~~~~~~~ so happy

Mimihker, hearty congrats to you!! It’s so satisfying to hear of students who get in to schools they love. Happy New Year!

Accepted into TV and Broadcast Journalism with a Chancellor’s Scholarship!!! Woohoo! Congrats to everyone already accepted as well!

Yay, cosurf! That’s my son’s major at Chapman, and he is really happy with his choice. You will love it!

oh my gosh. I never knew Dodge sent out acceptance letters this soon.
Still waiting for mine… applied for film production and it says Decision Pending since 11/17. AHHHHH this is killing me, especially when this is my top choice.

Don’t hold your breath because film production letters are the last to go out. Takes quite a while to review all that stuff. Last year, D got her Dodge acceptance letter in early February. Good luck to you!

Is there an expected time table for the film production notifications to go out? I was sent an email from admissions saying letters would be going out in the “next couple of weeks” but has anyone heard differently?

Well one of my friends already get a rejection letter from them…so I’m assuming the letters should come very soon…
I’ve read second half of January till end of February, but I don’t know.

I received my acceptance letter for Dodge film production with the Dean’s scholarship yesterday!! I was so excited when the packet came in the mail. I am so fortunate to have Chapman as an option.

Wow. Fythic, congrats!
My webadvisor still says Decision Pending since 11/15. haha Guess I still have to wait!

timothetoad- My webadvisor changed to decision reached on the 12th I think, and then my letter arrived on the 17th. Hopefully you will hear back soon!

I hope so too!
By the way, I checked your profile and noticed your birthday is only 1 day off from mine! haha so cool. I hope I have an option to attend to Dodge College. tis my dream school.

I have’t heard yet either! Mine says Decision Pending as of November 11th. I’m dying to know whether I got in or not, I love it there!

Thank god I wasn’t the only one. It still hasn’t changed haha.
I am pretty anxious at this point.

Mine still says Decision pending, this wait is killer. applying for Film Production. Hope I get in like many people here!
