I was just flat out denied, not even deferred.

@Smaxchef , I’m not a home schooled applicant and I really have no answers to your question. I would call the undergrad office and ask them or schedule a call with a uga rep.

@Xboxgamergirl thanks. That’s what I’m planning to do. I’m very upset.

more results?

How many of you receiving scholarships are in state? Just curious.

how much is the charter scholarship?

@Smaxchef - my son has not applied to UGA, but is a homeschool senior and I saw your post.

Haven’t had any experience at UGA, but I glanced at UGA’s homeschool admissions page, and they have some requirements in there which remind me very much of what University of Florida does with homeschool students.

Did you have outside validation for every single “College Prep Required Curriculum” unit? I.e., did you do your foreign language through an accredited institution (dual enrollment, FLVS, etc.)?

There should be one admissions counselor who specifically deals with homeschool applicants. Try your best to find out who that person is and contact her/him.

Can someone tell me what the Classic Scholarship is? Confused if “awarded” means it’s automatic or do I have to apply? Also, did the people automatically admitted to the Honors Program hear yesterday or will they find out later?

@originalposter1 Last year, my daughter was notified about her auto admit into Honors about two weeks after the EA decisions were posted. A large envelope from the Honors College came in the mail.

Okay thanks!! @3567monroe
