Do they deffer a lot of people? I thought I was all set to get in (3.8 UW/ 4.2 W, 7 AP classes, 1520 SAT, eagle scout, etc). I’m pretty shocked right now
does anyone know when RD decisions were released last year? says “no later than april 1” in deferral letter but probably earlier than that right?
@GoingEast what time will all the decisions be out?
question!!! how does you admission decision appear once you login… like does it right away say the decision or do you have to press a button to view it? also… what does it say if you got deferred and what does it say if you got accepted
RD decisions were released in mid-March in the past few years.
Any one from MD heard result yet?
They may not do rejections at this stage. Some schools only defer and accept at this stage.
@Tennisboy2022 I thought I saw on an earlier post 7:00 Eastern. @TomSrOfBoston when does the last wave typically go out?
Deferred. From Upstate NY. 33 ACT, tons of ECs, 95.45 GPA unweighted. Major: Math
@sss111222 For me showed up immediately once I refreshed the page, no button pressing. If you get deferred like me, it gives you the option to withdraw, or accept deferral.
Deferred. NYC, IB diploma, applied to engineering, 3.7 UW GPA, 1410 SAT, strong commitment to few ECs, showed interest. Ah well…
it comes up as soon as you log in, for deferral it says like “Thank you for applying to NEU, bla bla bla , we would like to offer you the opportunity to defer your application to RD because we could not offer you a place in the early action program”
@dowzerw Many students got denied. Look at previous posts.
From PA got in so excited I still don’t fully believe it.
Stats… ACT 32C WGPA 97.5 UWGPA 94 11 total APs
Maryland…
On behalf of the Northeastern University Admissions Committee, I want to thank you for submitting your application for our Early Action Program. After a careful review of your application and supporting documents, we have decided to offer you the opportunity to defer your application into our Regular Decision applicant pool and be reconsidered at that time, as we are not able to offer you admission at Early Action.
We understand that you may be disappointed by this decision; however, we want to assure you that you remain a viable candidate for admission, and we will continue to consider the fact that you expressed early interest in Northeastern. We welcome any new information that will strengthen your application, so please arrange to have your mid-year grades sent to Northeastern along with any updated standardized testing. Also, if you would like to share any new information with us about recent achievements since you submitted your application this fall, please do so through your Application Status Check.
As an applicant in the Regular Decision pool, you will receive your decision no later than April 1. Please log on to the Application Status Check, which can be found at northeastern.edu/admissions, to determine if we need additional information to continue processing your application and to submit any additional materials for consideration at Regular Decision. For more information about this decision, you may review our FAQ document.
